A TASTE OF HONEY
An exciting and unparalleled social, cultural and educational experience. Participants choose from a diverse number of courses designed to stimulate participants of all Judaic backgrounds. Presented in cooperation with the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven and the Greater New Haven Board of Rabbis. GLOBAL DAY OF JEWISH LEARNING
Jews around the world will participate in the Annual Global Day of Jewish Learning each November. Here in Greater New Haven, The Center for Jewish Life and Learning, together with area synagogues and organizations, will present a wide variety of nondenominational events and programs for people of all ages. Casual learning on a wide variety of subjects of Jewish interest with renowned scholars from Greater New Haven and the wide world. SI features one morning presentation per week over an eight week period in late spring-early summer. Last year's presenters included: Sydney Perry on "Jerusalem: Twice Destroyed and Twice Rebuilt"; Marc Wortman on "A House Divided: Jews and the Civil War"; and. Robert A. Burt on "The Eichmann Trial 50 Years Later." The Institute's lectures are free and open to all. Kosher lunches will be available for purchase at the JCC's Mike's Cafe.
