SPA SERVICE OF THE MONTH

Thai Massage & Thai Herbal Compress Massage with two of our seasoned Therapists.

THAI MASSAGE WITH BRYAN: Nuat Boran or Thai Massage is a traditional style of bodywork originating from Thailand, and has crossover influences from China, India, and regional healing techniques developed over 2,000 years ago. While the receiver is fully dressed in moveable clothing, the Practioner employs a rolling pressure based on leverage, palm kneading, compression stretching, and manipulated passive stretching, softening the tissue to make it more supple and fluid. Through breath work, the session becomes meditative, as the practitioner works the Sen lines (a series of pathways and channels, similar to the five element meridians used in traditional Chinese medicine) to open blocked points of energy allowing it to flow freely.

THAI HERBAL COMPRESS MASSAGE WITH KATHERINE:
This technique offers several potential health benefits including deep relaxation, stress release, improves circulation of blood and lymph and stimulates the internal organs to name a few. The hot compresses possess properties that are anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, astringent and antioxidant. They are used to address sprains, bruises and sore muscles, cleanse and heal the skin by promoting cell growth, and aid upper respiratory ailments such as bronchitis, asthma, and the common cold. Also ideal for alleviating stiff, sore or pulled muscles and ligaments, chronic pain and even migraines - the blend of traditional Thai herbs used in these compresses also has a relaxing yet invigorating effect on the body and mind.
