Register in advance. Join jHaven for a special virtual “seder” to celebrate Tu Bishevat, the Jewish “new year for trees,” and explore itscontemporary relevance to our lives and community.

What is a Tu Bishevat seder? It is a Kabbalistic tradition based on the Pesach seder that helps us to explore our connectionto the land, to our communities, to the world/each other and to ourselves — all through the medium of food, wine andconversation. We will also take this opportunity to explore our community’s responsibilities around issues ofenvironmentalism and sustainability, and ways we can commit to a “greening” our community for the future.

Register by Wednesday, January 20** to receive a FREE gift bag, complete with all the ingredients you’ll need toparticipate in the seder remotely: two small bottles of kosher wine* (one red, one white), fresh fruits and nuts, a copy of the“haggadah” and some added surprises! Gift bags will be delivered in person (socially distanced and wearing a mask) by Derek Holodak on Sunday, January 24.

For any questions, please contact Derek at dholodak@jewishnewhaven.org.
