Back to Shul Day is a work and fun day to prepare the shul for High Holy Days. Our goal is to prepare the synagogue, inside and out, while spending time with friends and getting to know new members. All events are kid-friendly (except for beer-tasting!).
Programming starts with minyan at 9 am, followed by coffee. Activities include:
Shop at the gift shop for all your holiday needs, including local honey. Make gefilte fish. Shofar blowing class and practice. Change torah covers. Polish silver for torah scrolls. Load mahzorim on the cart for siddurim changeover. Pull weeds, trim plants, clean beds and plant flowers. Compare local and commercial honey. Taste test apples and local beers. Kids’ program.
