Shabbat guest on the weekend of Martin Luther King Jr. Day: Rev. Bonita Grubbs of CCA will give the Shabbat morning sermon. Then Rev. Grubbs and her colleague Charmain Yun will lead a conversation at 12:45 pm about their social service organization, which provides help, housing, and hope in the Hill Community of New Haven. She graduated from Smith College, then earned a master's degree in public health from the Yale School of Medicine, as well as a master's degree in religion from the Yale Divinity School. Rev. Grubbs, who was born in Hartford, came to CCA in 1988. In 2013, she received the New Haven Register’s Person of the Year Award.
